AMW REWITA SP. Z O.O. PET POLICY

I. Policy on accepting and accommodating pets in guest rooms and common areas.
1. General provisions

1.1. AMW REWITA accepts and accommodates pets (dogs, cats and other small companion animals), excluding dog breeds considered dangerous under applicable law.
1.2. Pet owners must have an up-to-date pet health record showing current vaccinations and deworming.
1.3. The pet-stay fee is set by the Branch Director and approved under the internal price approval procedure.
1.4. Pets are accepted after guests notify the property, when booking or by contacting reception directly, of their intention to arrive with a pet.
1.5. Pet owners must read the property’s pet policy.

2. Conditions for pets staying at the property.
2.1. Pets may stay only in:
a) guest rooms where the pet-stay fee has been paid,
b) designated common areas (e.g. corridors, outdoor grounds, gardens, terraces),
c) areas where the rules expressly allow pets (e.g. marked with a “Pets welcome here” pictogram).
2.2. Pets are not allowed in restaurants, spa areas, gyms, swimming pools or other indoor recreational areas, except:
a) assistance dogs or guide dogs for persons with disabilities,
b) designated outdoor areas (e.g. gardens, terraces).
2.3. The pet must remain under the owner’s full control—on a leash, and larger dogs must also wear a muzzle.
2.4. The owner must ensure that the pet:
a) does not disturb other guests (e.g. by barking, howling or making noise),
b) does not damage room or common-area furnishings,
c) is not left alone in the room if it may disturb the peace, pose a risk to itself or others, or for longer than its basic physiological needs allow,
d) does not climb onto furniture or beds or use bedding, towels, etc.,
e) does not pose a risk to safety, hygiene or order at the property,
f) has its own bed, carrier or cage suitable for its size,
g) does not relieve itself in the room or other property facilities.
2.5. The pet owner must clean up after the pet in the room and common areas (waste, fur, mud and other traces).
2.6. The pet owner must have an up-to-date health record containing information on required vaccinations and deworming, and present it at the property’s request.
2.7. For cats, the owner must provide a litter tray and dispose of used litter in the container indicated by property staff.

3. Guest liability
3.1. The guest bears full financial and legal liability for all damage, soiling or disturbance caused by their pet on the property.
3.2. In the event of a serious breach (e.g. aggressive behaviour, property damage or nuisance to other guests), staff may:
a) request the immediate removal of the pet from the property,
b) in exceptional cases, terminate the accommodation agreement without refund.
c) If there is reasonable suspicion that a pet left in a room is disturbing other guests, damaging property or posing a risk, and the owner cannot be contacted, the property reserves the right to enter the room and take measures to remove the risk, including removing the pet from the property. The pet owner bears the costs of such measures.

4. Staff duties
4.1. Reception and service staff must:
a) politely inform guests of the applicable pet-stay rules,
b) upon check-in, ensure that the pet fee has been charged and that the guest has read the pet acceptance policy and their liability.
4.2. If a pet is found in a prohibited area:
a) tactfully inform the guest of the applicable rules,
b) indicate the designated area where the pet may stay,
c) inform a supervisor if necessary.
Example wording:
"I’m very sorry, but under our rules pets may stay only in the guest room and designated areas. Please take your pet to the appropriate place.”
4.3.
In the event of damage or soiling caused by a pet:
a) immediately inform the shift manager or reception,
b) record the incident in the daily report,
c) after the guest leaves the room, report the need for additional cleaning or disinfection.

5. Hygiene and safety rules
5.1.
Pets are not allowed in:
a) technical rooms, laundries or back-of-house areas,
b) recreational areas (pool, spa, gym, playroom).
5.2. After a guest stays with a pet:
a) the room must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected according to the applicable procedure,
b) check that no fur, dirt or unpleasant odours remain,
c) use ozonation or an additional cleaning service if necessary.
5.3. In the event of a sanitary incident (e.g. urination or faeces):
a) isolate the area,
b) remove contamination wearing gloves and using disinfectants,
c) dispose of waste in a sealed bag.

6. Special situations
6.1.
Assistance animals (guide dogs and dogs assisting persons with disabilities):
a) may enter all public areas of the property (except technical back-of-house areas),
b) staff may not refuse entry, but may request proof of assistance-dog status in case of doubt,
c) an appropriate place must be provided while ensuring other guests’ safety.
6.2. Aggressive or noisy pets:
a) if aggressive or disruptive, staff should ask the owner to calm or remove the pet,
b) call a supervisor or security officer if necessary.

II. Policy on pets in all food-service outlets.
1. Pets are not allowed in restaurants or any other indoor food-service areas or their back-of-house facilities, except:
a) assistance dogs or guide dogs for persons with disabilities,
b) designated areas (e.g. terraces, gardens, outdoor areas).
1.1. If the property permits companion animals in selected food-service areas, this must be expressly stated in the property rules and clearly marked at the entrance to the designated area (e.g. with a pictogram or “Pets welcome here” notice).
1.2.A guest bringing a pet into an approved area bears full responsibility for its behaviour and any damage. The pet must remain under the owner’s full control—on a leash, and large or potentially aggressive dogs must also wear a muzzle.
1.3. The pet owner must ensure that the pet:
a) does not disturb other guests,
b) does not come into direct contact with the buffet or table,
c) does not climb onto furniture, chairs or sofas,
d) does not endanger safety, hygiene or order.
2. Food-service staff liability.
2.1. Every employee must politely and tactfully remind guests of the applicable rules regarding pets in food-service areas and ensure compliance.
2.2. If a guest with a pet enters an area where pets are not allowed:
a) calmly and politely inform the guest of the applicable rules,
b) indicate an alternative place where they may eat with their pet, e.g. a garden table in summer (if available at the property),
c) if necessary, offer to prepare the meal “to go”.
Example wording:
“I’m very sorry, but under our rules we cannot accept pets in the restaurant. I’d be happy to offer you a table in the garden / designated area, where your pet is welcome.”

2.3. If the guest disagrees or refuses to leave the area, immediately inform a supervisor, who will take further action.
2.4. Staff must never use guest crockery to serve water or food to pets. Every property accepting pets must provide disposable dishes or bowls specifically intended for animals.
3. Hygiene and safety rules
3.1. Pets are strictly prohibited:
a) in food preparation and storage areas (kitchens, storerooms, back-of-house areas),
b) at buffet lines and self-service points,

3.2. After a guest with a pet leaves the area, staff should:
a) thoroughly clean and disinfect the area where the animal stayed,
b) check that no hair, dirt or excrement remains.
3.3. In the event of a sanitation incident (e.g. the animal urinated or left excrement), immediately:
a) isolate the affected area,
b) remove the contamination using gloves and disinfectant,
c) dispose of waste in a sealed bag,
d) inform the supervisor.
4. Special situations
4.1. Assistance animals
a) assistance dogs may enter all dining areas (except back-of-house areas), including the buffet,
b) staff may not refuse entry, but if in doubt may ask the owner to show a certificate confirming the dog's assistance status,
c) provide the guest with a suitable place while maintaining space and the safety of other guests.
4.2. Aggressive or noisy animal
a) if the animal behaves aggressively, disturbs other guests or poses a threat, staff should ask the owner to calm it or leave the area,
b) if necessary, call the supervisor or, if available, security staff.

III. Final provisions
1. The property reserves the right to temporarily limit the admission of animals (e.g. during periods of high occupancy or in selected room types).
2. Acceptance of animals at the property constitutes acceptance of this procedure.
3. Information about the animal policy should be available:
a) on the property's website,
b) in the property's regulations.
4. Failure to declare an animal's stay during booking or check-in may result in an additional fee under the current price list or charges for additional cleaning required.
5. The Branch Director reserves the right to give the final interpretation of these regulations.
