The Hel Lighthouse is an octagonal tower made of red-brown faced brick, tapering towards the top, ending with a gallery under a conical roof.
During several centuries of history, it was destroyed by fires, storms, and hostilities, and then rebuilt and improved.
The lighthouse has 41.5 a and its light at a height of 39 m can be seen even from a distance of about 36 km
The lighthouse offers a beautiful view of the entire Gdańsk Bay and the neighboring sea flying in: Jastarnia, Rozewie and the Northern Port, the closed lighthouses on Góra Szwedów and Gdańsk Nowy Port.
