Just 3.5 km from the center of Międzyzdroje, there is the V-3 Bunker-Museum. This historic exhibition, located on the site of the former Nazi training ground, presents the history of military technology that was to change the course of World War II and is now more widely known only to enthusiasts of the subject. While the history of the cruise missile, the so-called the V-1 bomb, or the first successful ballistic missile under the name V-2, hardly anyone heard about the multi-chamber V-3 guns, the length of which was 130 meters and the range was calculated at 165 km. It was the progenitor of modern, innovative electromagnetic cannons, which only proves how advanced German military technology was at that time. It is in today’s museum, run by enthusiasts of the V-3 guns and the history of the local training ground, that you can learn about the innovative techniques used in the construction of this weapon, as well as many historical facts related to the area. It is worth mentioning that it is the only such exhibition in Poland that has only one counterpart in Europe, in France. You can visit both individually and in groups.
