“Church of The Transfiguration of the Lord in Mielno was built in the 15th century. The tower situated on the west side was most likely built in the 16th century. Moreover, rooms with a separate entrance, containing the sacristy, were added to the north and south.
In a straight line, the church is located approx. 750 m from the Baltic Sea. The church stands on a small hill around which there are traces of a moat. Presumably, the building used to have not only a sacred but also a defensive function. ”
